Is Giessen a city of hidden artists?

If you look and listen at León Lou’s music, the sentence about Giessen is right. We feel lost, as strangers and without inspiration. People say about Giessen things like: boring, repetitive, monotonous but always interesting if you are looking for new challenges or trying to discover interesting things.

During the Christmas time searching for new inspirational music, I came across León Lou’s music – it touched me from the first tone. I just wanted to contact León Lou for an interview and found out, that she is living at Giessen actually.

León Lou started performing her German and English music one year ago (2011) – in Germany and Portugal (her second home country). She works as a solo artist, writes her own lyrics and music and interacts with different musicians all over the globe. She worked as a dancer and performance artist,  lived in various countries including Hawaii and Great Britain.

After the first tone of her ballads touched me, I was thinking about the words in her song “stranger”.

This little ballad about strangers is very inspirational. León Lou says about herself:

I am getting my inspiration from everydays life, from nature and from out of space I see music as something, that is connected to spirituality and a way to express my inner truth. I like to touch and inspire people and to encourage them to discover and live their own truth…

León Lou seems to be a creative mind, always on the track for new ways of touching people. I hope that León Lou can touch many hearts and encourage people not to go to far, because good things (music) can also be found in Giessen.
